RCM is a symbol representing compliance with two independent system schemes:
● EESS; and
● Labeling requirements for ACMA
That is,Safety (product Safety certification) + EMC + RF + Telecommunication + Health + Importer Declaration. It means that the supplier declares that the products comply with the safety and other requirements specified in the electrical safety laws / regulations of Australia and New Zealand, as well as the electromagnetic compatibility and other requirements specified in the radio communication law of Australia and New Zealand. The RCM mark can be used only if the products comply with the requirements of electrical safety regulations and EMC regulations at the same time.
Implementation schedule of RCM mark:
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has consolidated three existing compliance marks (C-TICK, A-TICK and SAA) into A single regulatory compliance mark (RCM), which came into force in March 2013.
1. Since March 1, 2013, new agents must log in to the new database and use the RCM mark;
2. Starting from March 1, 2016, new and old agents are required to log in to the new database and use the RCM logo.
3. Old agents can continue to use C-TICK or A-TICK mark during the three-year transition period; After the transition period, equipment using the old logo will need to be re-labeled.
