On June 27, 2024,The ECHA has added one new chemicals to the Candidate List. To date, the SVHC list includes 31th batch of 241 items.

In this update, because the remaining two review substances are still in the review process, the SVHC items has changed from 240+3 to 241+2, of which two review substances are still resorcinol in the resolution and triphenyl phosphate which was not added in the 31st batch.

Companies may have legal obligations resulting from the inclusion of the substancein the Candidate List. These obligations may apply to the listed substance on its own, in mixtures orin articles. In particular, any supplier of articles containing a Candidate List substance above aconcentration of 0.1% (weight by weight) has communication obligations towards customers downthe supply chain and consumers. In addition, importers and producers of articles containing thesubstance have six months from the date of its inclusion in the Candidate List (27 June 2024) tonotify ECHA.
According to the Waste Framework Directive (WFD)-Directive 2008/98/EC of the EuropeanUnion, the SCIP notification must be completed if SVHC substances in articles exceed 0.1%.
