Spanish WEEE service introduction Release Time:2023-02-16

Royal Decree No. 110/2015 on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE RD) was issued adapting Spanish regulations to Directive 2012/19/EU and Act No. 22/2011 on Waste and Contaminated Soil . The purpose of this Royal Decree is to reduce the generation of WEEE and to promote the reuse and valuation of electrical equipment through proper management of electrical equipment controls in an effort to avoid negative impacts on health and the environment. WEEE RD adheres to the principle of extended producer responsibility, so producers of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) must bear the correct environmental costs . Manage future waste generated by the equipment it sells.
