The Spanish Packaging Law complies with the Spanish Packaging Regulation Law 11/97, which regulates

Obligations related to the recycling of packaging waste and its subsequent treatment and recycling. In Spain , those who sell packaged products with their own or distribution brands, which can reach the final consumers in Spain, must bear the cost of recycling and disposal of waste packaging. What are the Spanish Packaging Laws?

In order to promote the recycling of waste packaging in Spain , the Spanish Regulation No. 11/97 on packaging and packaging waste was introduced . The Act establishes certain obligations related to the recycling of packaging waste and its subsequent treatment and recycling. The regulations require that all manufacturers, importers, and long-distance sellers who sell goods to the Spanish market , the Spanish government requires them to be responsible for the recycling of packaging raw materials and realize the reuse and recycling of packaging waste . This regulation applies not only to Spanish local companies, but also to all foreign companies that sell goods into Spain . Enterprises must obtain a license by paying the corresponding fee to join the Extended Producer Responsibility Program Agreement (SCRAP). How to register the Spanish Packaging Act?

Step 1: Register in the Ecoembes packaging registration website

Step 2: Sign the received contract in duplicate and mail to Ecoembes. and pay the membership fee.

Step 3: Submit the packaging declaration for the reporting year and the previous four years

Step 4: Receive the invoice after declaring the packaging declaration, and pay the recycling fee.

Basic principles of use:

◆The logo must be clearly visible and cannot be modified to ensure that consumers can immediately recognize the symbol;

◆The green dot is a circle containing two arrows wrapped around a vertical axis, the central axis must be perpendicular to the text on the packaging;

What do I need to do after registration is complete?
