Due to the design of the government structure and management system in the US market, there will be federal and state requirements for product regulations. details as follows:

1. Introduction of California CEC Energy Efficiency Regulations

The California Energy Commission, short for CEC, promulgated and implemented Title 20 Appliance Efficiency Regulations (Title 20, Appliance Efficiency Regulations) on December 30, 2005, aiming to improve the efficiency of electrical and electronic products, save energy, and maintain Healthy living environment.

At present, regulations stipulate the minimum energy efficiency standards and measurement methods for 24 major categories of electrical products. According to the requirements of this regulation, electrical products within the specified scope must be tested by qualified laboratories in accordance with corresponding regulations or standards, products can be sold in California, USA after complete the registration. The scope of CEC certification regulations almost covers most of the electronic and electrical products, the main categories are as follows:

1) Refrigeration equipment

2) Room air conditioning

3) Central air conditioning

4) Portable air conditioner

5) Heater

6) Water heater

7) Swimming pool heater

8) Bathroom accessories

9) Sanitary ware

10) Ballasts for fluorescent lamps

11) Light source

12) Emergency lighting

13) Traffic signal module

14) Lamps

15) Dishwasher

16) Washing machine

17) Clothes dryer

20) Transformer

21) External power supply

22) Consumer electronic equipment (computers, monitors, televisions...)

23) Battery charging system (Bluetooth headset, Bluetooth speaker, mobile power...)

24) Landscape irrigation equipment

2. DOE certification

In order to save energy efficiency and improve citizens' awareness of saving energy and improving the environment, the Department of energy has formulated energy efficiency standards for a series of products. At present, it covers more than 60 different products, mainly distributed in consumer products, commercial and industrial products, lighting products, plumbing products, etc.

The DOE certification for external power supply and battery charger system in consumer products is currently the most concerned product in the market. Among them, the external power supply should meet the requirement of the minimum energy efficiency level VI, and the corresponding logo should be marked on the product. For battery charging systems, devices that include battery charging circuits and rechargeable batteries, such as tablets, Bluetooth headsets, mobile power supplies, laptops, tablets, etc., all require DOE certification.

Attestation of Global Compliance (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (AGC) has passed the review of the US Department of Energy and has become a DOE-approved qualification laboratory, which can help you complete the whole set of DOE testing, submission and registration procedures.

The Energy Star program was launched in 1992 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to reduce energy consumption and protect the environment. At present, the Energy Star logo program has become one of the energy efficiency labeling systems with the widest scope of influence and the highest market acceptance in the United States.

The plan currently covers more than 50 categories of products, mainly focusing on:

●Electronic and office equipment: such as TVs, computers, monitors, set-top boxes, audio and video equipment,

●Household appliances and similar household products: clothes dryers, washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators...

●Digital center equipment: data center storage, enterprise server, large/small network equipment, uninterruptible power supply...

● Heating and cooling equipment: air conditioners, dehumidifiers, heat pumps, boilers, water heaters...

● Lamp fan: decorative lamp string, ceiling fan, lamp...

●Large commercial buildings and newly built houses, doors and windows, etc.;

●Commercial food service equipment: such as commercial ice cream machines, commercial coffee machines, commercial dishwashers, commercial ovens...
